Wrestlepalooza 2025 Recap

Danielle Thiel Season 4 Episode 25

We can’t wait to hear from you! Don’t forget to let your voices be heard!!

WWE's first ever ESPN show was about as average as everyone thought it was going to be. The show opened with Brock Lesnar absolutely decimating John Cena hoping to end the retirement tour early. The Uso's took on Bron Breakker and Brpnson Reed of The Vision in a pretty lenient match as special guest referee LA Knight allowed only certain competitors to use outside materials at certain times, in the end it was Jey's own festering anger and an unlucky chair shot that did The Uso's in. Women's World heavyweight championship is on the line next to crown a new champion after former champion Naomi had to relinquish due to pregnancy. Stephanie Vaquer and IYO SKY both looking at a chance to hold gold again, however after an A+ match Stephanie wins her first main roster championship. After 10 years away from the ring AJ Lee steps back in along side husband CM Punk against new foes, Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins. Although with some things being new to AJ since the Diva's era and a small amount of ring rust working against her, her and Punk did manage to pick up the win with her making Becky tap. Does this open an opportunity for her to challenge for the women's Intercontinental championship? The night rounds out with WWE Champion Cody Rhodes taking on Drew McIntyre in whats considered Drew's cleanest title match shot since Wrestlemania 36. Did the ref make some unfair calls and stop things that were more than legal? Yes, however beyond that there was no interference therefore Drew McIntyre got his fair shot and as we all know lost, making Cody still your WWE Champion.

Wrestling has more than one royal family. Whoa. What is up guys? Welcome back to Wrestling Crossroads as always. I am one half team McDo twisted alongside brother Pyro. What up people? And we are recapping Russell Palooza. Such a silly day. It is. Um, overall, what did you think of this? This overall, I think it was a decent show. A good ESPN debut. Mm-hmm. Now I'm waiting to see where they go from here. I know there was a lot of things beforehand that, like they were saying, there's gonna be, you know, um, surprises and you're gonna be shocked and you're gonna be this, that, and the third. And I didn't really get that. I didn't get nothing that wasn't predictable. That part, eh? Eh, that first match. Okay. The first ma, you know what? We, we got a lot to talk about when it comes to that first match. So let's just get into it. Start us off. Uh, first match, opening the show. Lesner. Cena. I'm a little mad I didn't call this match card at all. We got one right? It, I got one right. And we got one right. That's about it. Alright. Um. Lesner did lesner things and I have now gotten to watch him dominate John Cena in three different decades. Oh, you were wrong about one thing, and they did mention that, um, on the commentary table, Cena only holds one win over lesner, one win via pin fall. The other one was via disqualification. Okay. I didn't hear that. Part two wins total. I didn't hear that part. They specifically only acknowledged the pin fall window. Okay. So, so I was not wrong. Okay. I didn't hear that last part. But the last time they also did acknowledge the fact that the last time they shared a ring was a triple threat match for the WWE E Universal or for the WWE title. Him Lesner Rollins. Mm was the last time Lesner and Cena were in a ring together. Beautiful. That was a fantastic match, by the way. It was. But, um, again, Lesner did Brock Lesner things. He went in, he dominated most of that match. I would say. He took Cena to Suplex City, but there was only like three Suplexes. Yeah. Uh, but Cena really couldn't mount any offense and got his ass whooped. Can we talk about the shocking thing to open up that match? The fact that we got to see a Mr. Paul Haman dead introduced him dead. I was wondering after watching SmackDown, what it is he needed to talk to Haman about. Mm-hmm. And to see that it was, it was that just, Hey, introduce me like you used to when I was, I got that, ladies and gentlemen, mine. As soon as I heard it, I was like, oh, uh oh. And oop and oop. Okay, let's get it. I wanna know how Rollins feels about that though, because Rollins can't be too happy. Well, I mean, just, you know, obviously we had all of the vision there, uh, at Russell Palooza. There wasn't really any miscommunication beyond that for the rest of the night that we saw. Like I said, I wanna know how Rollin felt about him doing Lesner that favor though. Yeah, because, you know, well he's, he's the Oracle right now. It's supposed to be the Oracle you're not supposed to be with with you. You, you're not supposed to be the advocate. Mr. Paul Haman. Yeah, you're supposed to be. The Oracle for Haman might be in trouble. So I was talking with flash about this match and I had deemed it, and I know you will probably agree with me. I said, this was a fucking squash match. Oh 100 and there was nothing else to it. There were plain and simple squash match and flash goes. No, it really wasn't a squash match. I was like, sir, due, you know, the definition of squash match?'cause that sure the fuck was, I was definitely a squash match. Exactly. You, you squash matches, you come in, you dominate more than 90% of the match and you end it with the same opponent. Uh, that's what happened. So obviously we know picking up the win lesser browner, uh, your grade for this one. And the reasoning I gave it a c. Uh, it definitely threw me off, but again, it was one of those one I saw it really going either way. Wasn't all that surprising that Lesner kind of just came in and dominated. I thought Cena would at least have some offense considering this is the retirement tour for him. Yeah, but Lesner is one of those that Lesner is gonna do whatever Brock Lesner wants to do. Yeah. And ain't nobody gonna sell'em different. Exactly. I wish it would've been a little more because again, considering it's the retirement tour, but hey, it's like a five, 10 minute match. Not even. Yeah. Uh, but so we know what's next for Cena.'cause it took 48 hours and two tweets. I'm excited for it. We go to Australia in October. Are you ready for that? 4:00 AM Wake up. No. No, my baby sleeps through the night. Now I, I want to sleep. So with the babies, no, I'm gonna kill myself. No, we can nap definitely after. I hope so. You know what? I'm gonna hand my daughter to flash. Here take Tiny Twisted. Um, so in Perth, and I hope they actually run it as as a story.'cause I need to hear AJ style. Say it one more time. I need to hear him tell us that he's going to beat up John. Two tweets is all it took and the fans will likely make it happen. So Ena, we've been saying it. Cena styles Perth October 11th. Thank you Jesus. Now if only it was for the Intercontinental championship, that'd be so much better. Alright, next match up. We have the USOs taking on the vision, brown Breaker Bronson Reed, um, with. Special guest referee LA Knight. Yeah. And that came about because earlier in the day, they kind of got into a little Scruffle backstage and, uh, Adam Pierce, correct? Yeah. Adam Pierce looked at him and was like, you know what, we're just gonna. Special guest referee. Now I, I need a rep that's gonna be able to deal with these knucklehead. Yep. Salud. Salud. Thank you. All right then. I need someone that's gonna be, that's gonna deal with these knucklehead. I choose you. You're in the middle of this because you got shit going on this way. You got shit going on that way. So here you go. Um. There really wasn't much dominating, like over domination by either side. It was pretty equal for the opening parts of this match. I will say Ellie net is the referee. Really? Uh, let a lot of stuff go. Yeah. Uh, so getting to that. There was a moment on the outside of the ring where Bronson Reed went for a steel chair and he was like, no, you can't do that. But then Jimmy USO picked it up and with him liking Jimmy uso currently he allowed him to use his steel chair, Jimmy uso, being the only one of these four men that he ain't got an issue with. And they acknowledged that on commentary, literally. Um, and you know, anytime something was introduced, it more or less had to be by Jimmy uso. If it was for the USO side. Whereas if something was being attacked on Jay, he just kind of let it slide. Yay. Um, there were a couple moments during this match, uh, at least two moments that were very much acknowledged where it looked like Jay USO was targeting La Knight instead of the opponent actually in the ring, the suicide dive on the outside. Yes, because LA got in his face like, dude, are you, you looks intentional. But I mean, from the angle, I could see why it looks intentional. You're talking with him, but. Dude, I'm in the middle of a match. I'm not caring about the ref, I'm caring about the person I'm going against. And then there was the, uh, chair shot. The, yeah, the chair shot where he ducked. So of course La Knight's right there as the ref breaker, ducked and the egg. Hey, he himself was able to stop himself though, himself. Yes. If Jay was really aiming for you, Mr. Knight, that steel chair would've connected. I'm just saying Exactly. I'm just saying. That steel chair definitely would've connected. Um. Going a little bit further. Jay still has the steel chair in hand. These are closing moments of the match hits. Brown breaker in the back and it ended up ricot off of him. And cutting. Jay open currently, um, currently not clear to compete. Yes, because he's in concussion protocol on the back. Yes.'cause that just wham busted him open. Um, you could see that when the blood started gushing, he had no clue where he was. Um. He was taken down by a spear along with his brother Jimmy. 1, 2, 3 was counted the vision, picks up the wind, however,'cause Monday night Raw happened, we now have a rematch, a tornado tag. I believe that's next Monday. So I'm excited to see that because now really anything goes yes and without there being a referee that just doesn't care. And, uh, I think personally I, I love that they gave the win to the vision then, but I would give the SSOs this win. Me personally. Uh, your grade for this one, I gave it a b solid match. Definitely what saved it was the fact that it did the unpredictable and finish.'cause nobody thought the vision was gonna win LA Night, being that like, you know. That referee, that was like kind of the cherry on top of the Yeah, it was great. Cherry on top of the bee. Yeah. It was like I said, so it was, it was a good match. I do love how La Knight put it though, when the match was announced. Mm-hmm. Because, you know, Jay kind of asked for a favor. J Knight was like, all right, you want that favor? Cool. I want Jimmy Tag match. Yep. So I'm excited for that one. Yes. All right, take us into our next batch. The Women's World's title is on the line, two of WWE e's Best in the women's division, Stephan Neva Ki and EO Sky All going at it for us. Ah, that glory thin. Tastic match. I just, uh, watched it today. Earlier today actually. Yes.'cause I had to re go back rewatch so I can do my job effectively here. Yes. Great, great match. The athleticism was top. Not these women complimented each other so well, they did. I cannot say enough good things about it. I mean, like looking at, you know, socials, everybody saying, you know, that was, this was the match that, you know, kind of saved the show from being truly average. I can see why it's getting such hype. Yes. We're we're talking, you know. Uh, EO having a counter to, not one, but two devil's kisses. Yes. The, the, the sense of urgency that these two were going at it. Mm-hmm. I like that there was no interference. Yes. That I think truly stain mismatch, A clean match eo real them attack, you know, attacking the knees. Yes. Because eo, I wanna say it was EO that hit Stephanie with the. Uh, courts like the dragon leg. Yeah. Whatever in the corner. Her, me, their media ORs. Can, you know, I can spend all day watching a compilation of all of them. Yes. You can't tell me they weren't pretty. No, I, I agree. Stephanie able to counter that the over the moon salt mm-hmm. Really helped her gain momentum towards the end of there. There was a funny moment, and I just wanna point this out to you, that somebody had shared on TikTok and it was them going back and watching and any time, um, I don't know if you what move it was, but Stephanie landed face first and you got to like, the camera panned straight to her butt and you got to see a jiggle. And the guys, uh, the person on TikTok, their. TV froze every single time. It happened, like right after, like the TV was stunned at how much of an ass that was. That's great. It it was hilarious. And I'm like, oh my God. No. I saw one. I saw me. Yes. And it was like, convinces my dad to subscribe to ESPN so we can watch rest of Palooza. What's on ra? What's on When he walks into the room and it's Stephanie hitting EO with the devil's kids. Oh my goodness. Yes. So beautiful. It just zoomed in. So I was like, yep. Yeah, that'd be the one way to get dads to watch it nowadays, I would say. So say nowadays especially, but picking up the wind after hitting, I wanna say they call it the spinal tap, I think. So that, that, that like cork screw mm-hmm. That she hits off the top rope. Yeah, I think so. Uh, after hitting that, picking up the three count, Stephanie becomes your first. Latin American women's Latin American born women's champion, beautiful grant match. The show respect, post match was top tier. I love everything about that. So we know where eos going, like where EOS getting pulled, what direction she's getting pulled from here on out. Yes. What her, her next line of business is. What's next for the champ? Uh, well we have who's next for the champ? We have crown jewel coming up. Uh, so that'll be the first actual like match as champion that she has. I don't see them putting her in any title matches right now. Like personally, that's just me. I see them waiting, uh, past Crown jewel to have her really defend it, but. Her crown jewel opponent will be answered this Friday, whether it be Tiffany Stratton, whether it be Jade Cargill or Naya Jacks,'cause they have that triple threat for Tiffany's title. Yeah. Who do you see coming outta that one? Ladies and gentlemen, WWE runs specifically on a certain person's time, and after this SmackDown. If you want a good match, it's going to smack down and the rest of the division are going to continue to run on Tiffy time. Okay. I, I mean, I feel like they'd compliment each other very well. They would. I can really see this being another, you know? Yes. One of these. Top tier match, it's gonna be, especially if there's no interference in it. Top tier match. Um, I wanna say the only other one that I could see coming out of this with the win, especially if again, you are trying to draw for crown jewel is Jade. Okay. Um, I do wanna say before we jump been or our next match, a extra congratulations to Stephanie Vocare because last year was when she debuted and the fact that she has won the NXT North Americans Championship. She has been NXT champion alongside being NXT North American Champion and now World Heavyweight Champion in just a year shows really where she is in the company that shows the faith that they have in her, in the company, the type of athlete she is, yes, as a whole, and the type of person she can be for a company. Let's look at some of her past work outside of wwe. She's really big. She didn't earn that name Lara for nothing. Mm-hmm. I know she has truly been that girl that if you wanna build a company around you build it around her, you build it around her. Um, so your grade for this match, A plus. A plus. Perfect match. Go back rewatch it. If you have friends that aren't wrestling fans and you need to get them into what? Wrestling, especially women's wrestling. This is the match you show them. Yes. All right. Next up mix tag. Team action. We have Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch, the world heavyweight champion and Intercontinental women's champion taking on CM Punk and his wife AJ Lee for the first time ever. Um, they did note before the match started currently Becky Lynch and South Rollins going into this match were three and oh. They had never lost teaming together. On the other hand, the other couple, AJ and punk, have never lost teaming together the other two times that they did, this is also the first time Becky Lynch and AJ Lee will be in a ring together and compete against each other. Um, starting off, there was a bit of mind games where AJ did wanna start the match. I'm kind of glad that she didn't. Because it made for a better story to have her on the outside to see them really take the hits to punk and be that heel team on the outside of, you know, Becky attacking him, Seth, you know, really wearing him down. And then when it got to that point where AJ Lee really needed to be tagged in, it was Becky trying to stop punk. And I, I need someone to look at me the way AJ looks at her opponents when she's ready to kill them. I swear, because that type of look is just beautiful. I need someone to look at me like that. I, you, you could agree. I need someone to look at me like that, man. Um, beautiful work between the two. Oh, it's all flash to get right on it. As if I love flash, but as if now, you definitely need somebody to look at you the way C and punk looked at aj. I got that, especially when I'm in front of flash, because we all know what he was looking at. Flash is the same way, dude. He didn't even try to hide it. He didn't even try to hide it. Did you see how, okay, we're gonna get to that after. Just remind me. I got something to say after about that. Anywho, so. AJ Lee comes into the match. Uh, couple bench press throw downs with Becky. She really does take it to a different level than what she was allowed to in the divas era, which was absolutely beautiful. And I know I talked to you about that. Um, I'm glad that not only did we get to see her interact with Rollins, but she did have some help from her husband. There were times where they both hit the Shining Wizard. Um. She had both Rollins and Becky at different times in the Black Widow, and then something that, again, wasn't allowed in the divas era. There's a spot towards the end of the match where they go outside the ring and you have, uh, AJ and punk ready to hit. Was it double pedigrees? I think so. No. It was one pedigree and one man handle slam on the opponents, obviously taking their moves. Becky ended up countering against, um, against aj throwing her into punk, which landed them through a table. I'm glad that they allowed her to do this because again, this isn't something that they would've allowed in the diva's era. Becky and AJ made their way back into the ring. AJ Locks in the Black Widow, which at first wasn't fully locked in because of the leg positioning, which I pointed out to you, but in all reality, Becky, you tapped out. There was no B, you tapped out. No, her going at referee Jessica car. Talk about, oh, there was a B. If you look at the unedited footage and Jessica cart, Becky, you tapped out and everyone is saying it. Yes, because that's been Becky's saying, I'm the greatest woman's wrestler alive and I'm not the only one that's saying it. I'm excited to see you. You tapped out and everyone is saying it.'cause everyone doesn't think it. I'm excited to see where this goes with AJ and punk picking up the win in AJ's, uh, match first match back after 10 years. I know that a lot of people, especially I think it was Sports Illustrated, how they make their lists afterwards. They're like 10 things that they did right and or, and 10 things that they did wrong, or like five and five. One of the things that Sports Illustrated said that they did wrong here, not putting the titles on the line, you were saying the same thing that it should have been. I was. I was, but at the same time, I can also see why do at a bigger show. Yeah. I can also see why they didn't do at a bigger show, but this gives AJ a, a factor of of yeah, I made you tap. Made you tap. I think I should be in line for that title. I think it would look very beautiful around her waist again. I think any title would look great around her waist right now. I agree. Kia, I missed that. Skip. Yes. But let's talk about their, uh. The ring attire. Yes. Yes. I knew we were getting to that. Um, so if you, aside from the memes, obviously that have come from Becky and Seth Rollins's talking about how they look like Sponge Sponge movie, not only that pop, but the Pop Tarts. Uh, Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins did dub the colors for suicide hotline, which I absolutely love. And if you noticed AJ and Punk, they had the rainbows for the L-G-B-T-Q. I will say I love that Wws letting a lot of the superstars, uh, have a hand in that and really touch and acknowledge a lot of these things like you saw it. I wanna say like a year or two ago, LA Night, before one of his matches came out, started talking about how men's mental health mattered. Mm-hmm. Yes. We, in Milwaukee, got a therapy chance started. Only in Milwaukee. Only in Milwaukee. I could see it. And then it followed and then it continued to follow that. Yes. But I don't think it could have started in a better place than Milwaukee. No, but like what I'm saying, the fact that they're allowing these superstars to, you know, touch on mental health and Yeah. Show their support for, and their different causes. That's why AJ took her, her big break. Yeah, she said it, she was like, part of it was like, physically I couldn't keep up. I felt like I couldn't keep up anymore, but mentally I needed the break. Yeah. I needed the, I was mentally exhausted. I, I needed help with what I was battling inside. And that's great for people to hear, especially if you've loved AJ for as long as, especially if you like, as a wrestling fan, being able to hear that Yes. Is, is something truly. Truly inspired. Mm-hmm. But you did say you had something else you wanted to tell me. Um, so if you watch, there's a footage that a fan shared of, um, punk and AJ walking back up the ramp afterwards where he's got his hands out like Fakely trying to grip her butt as she's walking up. And it's absolutely hilarious. And the caption read, AJ got punk out here looking like a fool or acting like a fool. And it was just, it's so cute, dude. Seeing punk get to be. Himself like a husband, get, getting to see him be a husband, getting, getting that little bit of inside of what she deals with at home. Yes. His silliness. His goofiness. Oh, I love it. Great. I love it for Phil and aj, honestly. Uh, dude. Honestly, dude, no, it's funny'cause when they came from Milwaukee, guy was sitting next to you, he saw punk outside. Yeah. You know, he was rock Larry. They like, he is like, I'm not taking pictures right now, ever. Like. Bro, we don't want a picture with you. We can get a picture with Larry, man. Let her do with business. Let's take a picture with the dog. Oh my God. I love that. But I also love that he came out with a, a jacket that said AJ's husband, I don't know if you caught it, but this past Monday, the way she looked at it and smiled. Yes. And then Bailey, when she made her return, was wearing an AJ shirt, just like AJ was wearing a hugger shirt when she left the company. Yes. Because it was right before Bailey's come up. Yeah. And that was her way of saying, you need to bring this woman up. But if you watched Monday, um, Bailey was also wearing the AJ's husband jacket, so everybody's like, it's cannon now. They're married. I'm okay with it. I'm okay with it. I need your grade for this one. This grade was a b. I think there's a few things that you could've did Ru better. Okay. Uh, one of them being, you know, pacing was a little off at times. Yeah. Because it did get a little awkward, I think, you know, AJ having the ring rust, she didn't have as much as you talked about. She didn't have as much as. You would, you would've thought, but you can definitely tell like she's still kind of getting used to the way things are done now. Yes. Versus when she, she was here 10 years ago. Yeah. It's a lot different. Uh, you know, getting used to your opponent, you know, that first time opponent. Sometimes it, it takes a few times. Mm-hmm. And you could tell right here, this is where, yeah. This is one of those moments. I also just feel like they waited too long for the AJ Pop. For the AJ moment. Okay. Like when you, when you're watching that match, AJ didn't really seem to get a lot of combat time. No. But at the same time, I think it was perfect for her being, it was gone. She time that she was, again, I, I, I think they waited too long to pull the trigger on the hot attack. Okay. Uh, because I don't think you really, because she got the hot tag and then. Yeah. Even then it was everything with everybody all at once. AJ didn't really get to that one-on-one time with Becky in the ring. No. Like I would've like in the initial, initial hot tag that we did get, the ref never saw it. Exactly. So like I feel like you could've given AJ a little more time just AJ and Becky. Yeah, but I get it'cause the heels. So like, again, I just, I felt like you did her almost a, a disservice. This is gonna be a little weird for me to get used to because AJ hasn't been a face since her debut. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Ever since. No, I was, it wasn't until the 18 seconds with Brian that she, that they slowly started to turn that knob and turn her from face to heel heal. I will say one of my, one of first off, yes, but post show her reuniting with Biggie. Like, like they got up there and she ignored everybody. E mike, come here. You've been the one I've heard you talk about me. Come here. The, the, the, the embrace the, I get to see one of my best friends again.'cause you know, they're like, they have both stated they are super close outside of the company. That'd be like me and you. Oh yeah. Honestly, I don't see you for 10 years. Best believe I'm. There might be some tears. There's definitely gonna be tears. I know you, there's definitely gonna be tears, but great. Like that. Great. Embrace. Again, this was overall a really good match. Yeah. I need to see what's gonna be next for all parties involved. Oh yeah, definitely. I'm excited to see where everybody's stories go. Mm-hmm. I'm just really excited to be here from jba. I am too. Yeah. Uh, I was watching this, the girlfriend. Uh, was taking a nap as I started the show. Woke up as this match was like starting. Yeah. So she's kind of like watching this with me. Mm-hmm. And she's like, she see how excited I'm getting. I, I was telling her like, dude, you could ask her like anytime they were doing, and I was just, come on, come. I was, I was. You were getting into it. Yeah. All right. Is that all right? Main event time. Main Event time. Drew Backin Tire, challenging the American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes for the WWE title. Finally, drew gets his one on one match. Nobody to interfere, nobody to screw him. No reason he should whine and moan at the end of this. Whatsoever'cause you got your one-on-one match, sir. Match was actually pretty good. Okay. A lot of back, like a lot of equal back and forth. Mm-hmm. Nobody really able to pick up the, the upper hand super early. Then we got to like spots on the outside. Drew was able to try to swing the momentum in his favor. Yeah. Uh, ref definitely getting involved in times that he probably shouldn't have.'cause he perfectly legal, by the way, drew was ready to claim more. Cody threw the announced desk. Yeah, that would've been completely legal. A hundred percent referee stopped. And like, I, I agree with Bear, bear. It's, you know, on the table. What are you doing? My dude? That's, that's, that's legal. That's fair. It's that like you would've forced a disqualification, right? Uh, after that little tidbit, you know, drew still goes for it. Cody's able to move. Drew goes through the table, uh, gets him back in the ring. He's finally able to capitalize. With the, I wanna say it was the Cody Cutter into the, uh, crossroads. Yeah. He was able to pick up the victories. Drew, you might have a little bit of, uh, complaining about the ref, but overall, no more whining and moaning. Ya got your one-on-one match with a fair one-on-one match. Good match. Mm-hmm. I'm gonna say with Barry, the ref doesn't get involved when he does. Drew McIntyre's, WWE champion. I'll take your word for it. I, unfortunately, this was the one match I didn't get to see. Go back and watch it. I definitely will. Uh, like I said, good match. Mm-hmm. Could have been better. Your grade? C plus. Okay. Yeah, C plus. It was literally just the predictability in terms of the outcome. Yeah, definitely. It had nothing to do with the pacing, but we all knew Cody wasn't losing. There was actually, I was reading something and it said that Cody Rhodes had requested to lose to Drew McIntyre. It's funny actually,'cause both Drew and Cody, from what I've read now, this could just be rumors, somebody making some up. Uh, I don't have official like confirmation, but I guess Cody and Drew both wanted it to, both wanted Drew to go over. Mm-hmm. In the matter of Randy comes back and screws Cody. Yeah. I mean, I told her would've been before that and like And could we see it happening? Yes. Yeah. It's the same thing I was reading. So I mean, wwe EA guys vetoed it. Let Cody go on. We now have Cody Rowland. Yo, I'm ready for that. Oh, not only am I ready for it, but there's a moment. Uh, if you watched Monday. Yes, the watch. Mm-hmm. Remember the watch Cody gave that watch to to Rollins? Rollins about two years ago now. Yep. And Cody has gone on interviews and states that it kind of hurts that he doesn't ever see Rollins wearing it. Becky's confirmed, like he still has the watch. He just doesn't really like to wear it. Yeah. Net Rollin's playing a little bit of the mind games. Like, Hey, you remember that watch you gave me? Here it is. I'm wearing it. It is a very full circle moment, in my opinion. I loved the promo battle that they had because, you know, Cody ending out that promo battle literally goes, I have two questions for you. Number one, will this fight be alone? And number two, out of the three matches that we've had, how many did you win? I mean. I hate to say it, but Cody does have the upper hand on him in this, and I think that this match between them is gonna be nothing short of an A plus, especially if nobody gets involved because their matches and their chemistry were so beautiful. You are not wrong. Like when Cody came back at Mania 38. Mm-hmm. Fantastic match right there. Yeah. Then they ran it back. Uh, I forgot which one, what, what was the match after. Mm-hmm. And then I remember that Helen, so match. Yep. Which was, I wanna say that was the third match in, in the trilogy. That was I believe so where Cody wrestled with a torn pack and still beat Rollins. Still beat Rollins. But again, the way they were able to like work off of each other, take care of each other, really feed off of each other. Yes. Everybody needs a good dance partner. And I'm sorry, but outside of Roman. Yeah. Rollins's best dance partner is Cody Rhodes and Rollins even admitted that. Yeah, if you go back and watch that promo battle. Mm-hmm. He told Cody he'll always be my number two. Yeah, Roman will always be his number one. Oh, definitely. Rollins outside of the company on interviews has stated Roman's, Roman is his best. Opponent. Opponent, his best dance partner, best person to be across the ring from,'cause they know each other so well. They have that chemistry from being together in the shield, having been opponents here and there like Yeah. And I mean, I'm sorry, but plain and simple, you don't retire either of these men without that last match between them two. If either of them go on a retirement tour, kind of like Sena has. You don't end it without these two fighting at least once or twice. You want, everybody wants, you know those big opponents, those big names, those like key rivalries? Yeah. This is one that you renew if either one of them when either one of them decide to uh, yeah. And you don't even have to renew it. It's already still there. They, Rollins still has it. You be ignited I guess. Yeah, I was say Rollins still has an animosity. You put rains across the ring from Rollins and he's ready to go. Oh yeah. So you do that for these men, for these two before you, they make that final cut. Otherwise, you've done an inservice to everybody. Oh yeah. An injustice. Sorry. Um, disservice. There we go. Hey, I, inservice injustice. Same words. Same word. I just kind of mixed them. Yeah, it, it's a new word now. And only used for us. Of course. Alright guys, that does conclude Russell Palooza. We come back next for NXT. No mercy. Yep. You and the hex will be taking care of that one. Yes, we will be. Um, overall grade for this show was, uh, overall grade. I wanted to give it about a b. Okay. B minus. Yeah. Again, it could have been significantly better, could have done without all the damn ads. I agree. But overall, it was a good show. Um, getting to see Pat McAfee come back was beautiful. Even, even if it was for only a few matches and not the whole show. Yes. I would've loved to have heard him call that AJ theme, that mix, tag, match. I agree. All right. And with that, we are out later.
